Philippe obtained the first guitar prize at the Conservatoire National Supérieur
de Musique et de Danse de Paris Alexandre Lagoya's class and the first
prize of chamber music in the Maurice Bourgues's class.
Philippe carries out many recitals in
France and abroad and appears as a soloist in orchestras such as The
Ensemble Intercontemporain of Pierre Boulez, The Orchestral Ensemble of
Paris and the Brussel’s Guitar Quartet. He participates regularly in
many European tours (Belgium, Italy, Poland, Spain etc. Philippe has
taken part in many classical recordings (guitar solos, duos,
violin-guitar) as well as in concerts in various formations.
He teaches classical guitar at the
Conservatoire Jacques Ibert in Paris 19°.
Jean-Pierre, their father, (a nationally renowned guitarist)
is one of the pioneers of the electric guitar in France. In the sixties,
he played as a solo guitarist in the famous group “Les Dominos”,
supported various artists such as Johnny Halliday, Eddy Mitchell, Claude
François and played for Evariste. Jean-Pierre started playing pedal
steel before it became well known in France. At that time, he introduced his sons to country music. This is how Laurent and Philippe discovered
Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash etc.… These
artists inspired them.

Laurent obtained the first
virtuosity prize at the Conservatoire de Lausanne in the class of the
famous violinist Pierre Amoyal as well as the first prize of chamber
music.
Lead chief of the second violins in the Sinfonietta of
Lausanne, he is also one of the founders of the Art Quartet and
participates regularly in many European festivals.
As co-soloist at the Chamber Orchestra of Barcelona in
Spain for 2 years, he has appeared in many recordings for television,
cinema and has recorded many CD's for various chamber music and
symphonic formations.
He teaches violin and guitar in Lausanne in
Switzerland.
In 2001, they founded the Mariotti Brothers and
surrounded themselves with very talented and great experienced
musicians.
